  4. [PATCH] Update AMCC Luan 440SP eval board support
  5. The AMCC Luan now uses the common 440SP(e) DDR SPD code for DDR
  6. inititializition. This includes DDR auto calibration and support
  7. for different DIMM modules, instead of the fixed setup used in
  8. the earlier version.
  9. This patch also enables the cache in FLASH for the startup
  10. phase of U-Boot (while running from FLASH). After relocating to
  11. SDRAM the cache is disabled again. This will speed up the boot
  12. process, especially the SDRAM setup, since there are some loops
  13. for memory testing (auto calibration).

  37. [PATCH] Use dynamic SDRAM TLB setup on AMCC Ocotea eval board
  38. Define CONFIG_PROG_SDRAM_TLB so that the TLB entries for the
  39. DDR memory are dynamically programmed matching the total size
  40. of the equipped memory (DIMM modules).

  45. [PATCH] Fix AMCC 44x SPD SDRAM init code to support 2 DIMM's
  46. This patch fixes a problem that occurs when 2 DIMM's are
  47. used. This problem was first spotted and fixed by Gerald Jackson
  48. <gerald.jackson@reaonixsecurity.com> but this patch fixes the
  49. problem in a little more clever way.
  50. This patch also adds the nice functionality to dynamically
  51. create the TLB entries for the SDRAM (tlb.c). So we should
  52. never run into such problems with wrong (too short) TLB
  53. initialization again on these platforms.
  54. As this feature is new to the "old" 44x SPD DDR driver, it
  55. has to be enabled via the CONFIG_PROG_SDRAM_TLB define.

  77. [PATCH] Speed optimization of AMCC Sequoia/Rainier DDR2 setup
  78. As provided by the AMCC applications team, this patch optimizes the
  79. DDR2 setup for 166MHz bus speed. The values provided are also save
  80. to use on a "normal" 133MHz PLB bus system. Only the refresh counter
  81. setup has to be adjusted as done in this patch.
  82. For this the NAND booting version had to include the "speed.c" file
  83. from the cpu/ppc4xx directory. With this addition the NAND SPL image
  84. will just fit into the 4kbytes of program space. gcc version 4.x as
  85. provided with ELDK 4.x is needed to generate this optimized code.

  631. [PATCH] nand: Fix problem with oobsize calculation
  632. Here the description from Brian Brelsford <Brian_Brelsford@dell.com>:
  633. The Hynix part returns a 0x1d in the 4th ID byte. The Samsung part
  634. returns a 0x15. In the code fragment below bits [1:0] determine the
  635. page size, it is ANDed via "(extid & 0x3)" then shifted out. The
  636. next field is also ANDed with 0x3. However this is a one bit field
  637. as defined in the Hynix and Samsung parts in the 4th ID byte that
  638. determins the oobsize, not a two bit field. It works on Samsung as
  639. bits[3:2] are 01. However for the Hynix there is a 11 in these two
  640. bits, so the oob size gets messed up.
  641. I checked the correct linux code and the suggested fix from Brian is
  642. also available in the linux nand mtd driver.

  950. mpc83xx: Fix the incorrect dcbz operation
  951. The 834x rev1.x silicon has one CPU5 errata.
  952. The issue is when the data cache locked with
  953. HID0[DLOCK], the dcbz instruction looks like no-op inst.
  954. The right behavior of the data cache is when the data cache
  955. Locked with HID0[DLOCK], the dcbz instruction allocates
  956. new tags in cache.
  957. The 834x rev3.0 and later and 8360 have not this bug inside.
  958. So, when 834x rev3.0/8360 are working with ECC, the dcbz
  959. instruction will corrupt the stack in cache, the processor will
  960. checkstop reset.
  961. However, the 834x rev1.x can work with ECC with these code,
  962. because the sillicon has this cache bug. The dcbz will not
  963. corrupt the stack in cache.
  964. Really, it is the fault code running on fault sillicon.
  965. This patch fix the incorrect dcbz operation. Instead of
  966. CPU FP writing to initialise the ECC.
  967. CHANGELOG:
  968. * Fix the incorrect dcbz operation instead of CPU FP
  969. writing to initialise the ECC memory. Otherwise, it
  970. will corrupt the stack in cache, The processor will checkstop
  971. reset.

  1090. Overview:
1091. 1. Include new 'i2c' command (based on USB implementation) using
  1092. CONFIG_I2C_CMD_TREE.
1093. 2. Allow multiple buses by defining CONFIG_I2C_MULTI_BUS. Note that
1094. the commands to change bus number and speed are only available under the
1095. new 'i2c' command mentioned in the first bullet.
1096. 3. The option CFG_I2C_NOPROBES has been expanded to work in multi-bus
1097. systems. When CONFIG_I2C_MULTI_BUS is used, this option takes the form
1098. of an array of bus-device pairs. Otherwise, it is an array of uchar.
  1099. CHANGELOG:
1100. Added new 'i2c' master command for all I2C interaction. This is
1101. conditionally compiled with CONFIG_I2C_CMD_TREE. New commands added for
1102. setting I2C bus speed as well as changing the active bus if the board
1103. has more than one (conditionally compiled with
1104. CONFIG_I2C_MULTI_BUS). Updated NOPROBE logic to handle multiple buses.
  1105. Updated README.

1246. Check for illegal character '=' in environment variable names.
1247. Make sure the string passed as variable name does not contain a '='
1248. character. This not only prevents the common error or typing
1249. "setenv foo=bar" instead of "setenv foo bar", but (more importantly)
1250. also closes a backdoor which allowed to delete write-protected

1259. Don't pass any debug options directly to the assembler
1260. When passing the -g option to gcc, gcc automatically selects a
1261. suitable --g<format> option to pass on to the assembler.
1262. Thus, there's no point in forcing a specific debug option on the
1263. assembler using the -Wa mechanism.

1306. Added support for Multi-Image files that contain a device tree
1307. If a Multi-Image file contains a third image we try to use it as a
1308. device tree. The device tree image is assumed to be uncompressed in the
1309. image file. We automatically allocate space for the device tree in memory
1310. and provide an 8k pad to allow more than a reasonable amount of growth.
1311. Additionally, a device tree that was contained in flash will now automatically
1312. get copied to system memory as part of boot. Previously an error was

1342. Patch by Haavard Skinnemoen, 06 Sep 2006
1343. This patch adds support for the ATSTK1000 with the ATSTK1002 CPU
  1344. daughterboard.
  1345. ATSTK1000 is a full-featured development board for AT32AP CPUs. It
1346. has two ethernet ports, a high quality QVGA LCD panel, a loudspeaker,
1347. and connectors for USART, PS/2, VGA, USB, MMC/SD cards and

1356. Add common serial driver for Atmel AT32 and AT91 chips
1357. Patch by Haavard Skinnemoen, 06 Sep 2006
1358. This is a first attempt at creating a common serial driver for Atmel
1359. chips. For now, it supports the AT32AP7000 AVR32 chip, but it should
1360. be possible to support AT91RM9200 and other ARM-based chips with some
  1361. minor modifications.
1362. There's nothing fundamentally AVR32-specific in this driver, but it
1363. does use some features which are currently only defined for the
  1364. AT32AP CPU port:
1365. * pm_get_clock_freq: Obtain the clock frequency of a given domain
  1366. * gd->console_uart: A "struct device" containing information about
1367. register mappings, gpio resources and clocks associated with the
  1368. UART device.
1369. For more information about these features, please see the "AT32AP
  1370. CPU" patch.

1374. Add AT32AP CPU and AT32AP7000 SoC support
1375. Patch by Haavard Skinnemoen, 06 Sep 2006
1376. This patch adds support for the AT32AP CPU family and the AT32AP7000
1377. chip, which is the first chip implementing the AVR32 architecture.
  1378. The AT32AP CPU core is a high-performance implementation featuring a
1379. 7-stage pipeline, separate instruction- and data caches, and a MMU.
1380. For more information, please see the "AVR32 AP Technical Reference":
  1381. http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/doc32001.pdf
1382. In addition to this, the AT32AP7000 chip comes with a large set of
1383. integrated peripherals, many of which are shared with the AT91 series
1384. of ARM-based microcontrollers from Atmel. Full data sheet is

1811. Add support for reading and writing mac addresses to or from ID EEPROM.
1812. Added code for reading and writing Mac addresses to/from ID EEPROM(0x57).
1813. With attached patch, we can use command "mac/mac read/mac save/"
1814. to read and write EEPROM under u-boot prompt.
1815. U-boot will calculate the checksum of EEPROM while bootup,
1816. if it is right, then u-boot will check whether the mac address
  1817. of eTSEC0/1/2/3 is availalbe (non-zero).
1818. If there is mac address availabe in EEPROM, u-boot will use it,
1819. otherewise, u-boot will use the mac address defined in
1820. MPC8641HPCN.h. This matches the requirement to set unique mac address
  1821. for each TSEC port.
